Not all Essex Builders are the same.
Whatever your building requirements I can take your plans, drawings, or simply your ideas and build you something of beauty. Building work for me isn’t just a job, it’s a passion, something I love to do. Although my City & Guilds qualification is in brick laying, like most good Essex builders I have all round experience at just about every aspect of
construction work. The end result of anything you have built or improved in your home should be like a piece of fine art when it’s finished. By that I mean you should be able to stand back and admire it. Your new kitchen, bathroom, patio, or extension should be something that fills you with pride. Something that your family, friends, and neighbours gasp at, just as though you they were admiring a painting by one of the old masters.
When I carry out a building task for you, to me it’s something special. I don’t run several jobs all at once, like most Essex Builders. Neither do I just sit around shouting at my employer to, “Get on with it!” Most of the work I carry out myself, because that’s what I enjoy doing. Obviously I have other professionals who assist me depending what’s involved. But if you give me a building job to complete on your behalf I will always be there working in and around your home.
Below is a short video of myself and Simon the digger man at work just inland along the Costa del Sol Spain. I’ve completed several jobs out there via the request of a local company. I’ve actually got thousands of photos and quite a lot of video clips, which you might find interesting, but finding time to put them on this website/blog takes a lot of time.

Drain repair work along the Costa Del Sol. This is a typical drain problem along the Costa Del Sol. (I know, it’s a funny place to find Essex Builders at work). Looking carefully you can see not only is the pipe unnecessary deep, but additionally the pipe is PVC and simply surrounded by earth, which needless to say due it its weight, has the ability to crush the pipe with ease, as it had done along the majority of the remaining pipe-work.
From this point on the entire drainage system, including the septic tank, was beyond repair. This section of the pipe once exposed was the starting point of an entirely new drainage and septic tank instalation.
This room was gutted back to the original brickword. The fireplace was plasterboarded out with a recess for the TV and a gas fire installed.
Next stage was to replaster the brick walls and the ceiling. The wood laminate flooring was the final part of the building construction. Finally, the walls and ceiling were painted.

These steps had seen much better day and Rob & Julie want to bring an updated look to the front of their home.
Space was a big issue as there had to be enough room after the rebuild for the cars to still be able to park.

The old wall and steps have been removed and the big hole you can see in this picture was dug out so some substantial concrete foots could be poured. Due to the unusual nature of the ground on which this house is built means that ‘heaveyer than expected’ footing were required.

Finally, the rebuilding is complete, the drive way is waiting to re surfaced with new tarmac. The ramp you can see is to alow easy access for the rubbish bins.
The ramp isa little step, but as previously mentioned, enough space had to remain so the cars could still be parked on the drive.
